Join the visitors hour at the MCA
Overview
The vistors' hour is an initiative aiming to provide a venue for non-muslims interested to know about the Muslim community within the Bay Area.
We take our visitor through a tour where we introduce the historic aspect of MCA, activities and venues. We also introduce information about how diverse the community is; bringing more than 30 ethnicities from 50+ countries. Vistors are also welcomed to experience listening to Quran, Azhan (call for prayer), Wudo (cleansing to prepare for a prayer), and observing Ishaa (night prayer). Additionaly, we provide free materials about Islam.
We will do our best to make you come out of the tour with a much better idea about our community and answer questions that you have.
This is a weekly event, so register for an appointment/session and feel free to send us any questions by emailing us at: outreach@mcabayarea.org .
Please also email us if you would like us to have the tour at another time or with a bigger group. Email details to: outreach@mcabayarea.org
Please meet our staff at the visit time in front of Door 5, as shown below.
*Please note that we ask all visitors to dress modestly and cover their arms and legs. We can provide head cover (Hijab) for sisters who would like to enter the prayer area.
