Join New Year Sip and Paint Workshop to Create Watercolor and Ink Art

By Ayka Williams

Overview

Kick off the new year creatively by making unique celebration cards with watercolor and ink at this cozy coffee shop workshop!

Create Art in a Relaxing, Beginner-Friendly Setting

Looking for a creative way to start the new year? Join us for an art-making workshop designed to help you slow down and reconnect with your creative side.

Spend an afternoon exploring ink, paper, and watercolor in a no-pressure environment. No artistic experience required. The focus is on enjoying the process, not the outcome.

What's Included:

  • All art supplies provided (ink, paper, watercolor)
  • Step-by-step guidance in a supportive setting
  • A calm, creative space to ease into the year ahead

What to Expect: This isn't your typical art class. We focus on the joy of making rather than perfection. You'll leave with original artwork and maybe a renewed sense of creative energy for the year.

Perfect For:

  • Beginners and non-artists looking for a creative outlet
  • Anyone wanting a mindful start to the new year
  • People ready to prioritize play and self-expression in 2025

With a Master's in Fine Arts and years of creative practice, I create spaces where making things by hand becomes a pathway to presence. My approach draws from contemplative methods I've studied with Sheila Darcy of SketchPoetic, where the focus is always on process over product.

In this session, I'll guide you through reflective exercises as we create Christmas cards together. This isn't about making Pinterest-perfect cards—it's about slowing down during the holiday rush to create something personal and meaningful.

I believe everyone is inherently creative. My role is to facilitate an environment where putting pen to paper becomes a moment of calm and connection. Whether you're making a card for someone you love or simply enjoying time away from your to-do list, the magic is in the making.

Join me for a gentle, hands-on experience where we'll slow down, get a little crafty, and maybe rediscover the simple joy of creating something with our own hands. No artistic experience needed—just bring yourself.
