Johnny P is a bluesman forged by fate — first struck by the sound of a brass slide on a cold Washington D.C. sidewalk in 1956, and ever since carrying that fire onto stages across the U.S. and Europe. A storyteller with a voice full of grit and soul, he brings Delta classics from Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, and Robert Johnson to life alongside his own original tales rooted in tidewater Maryland, Hoo-Doo lore, and the tobacco farms of the Eastern Shore. Armed with an acoustic or steel-bodied resonator and a slide that sings, Johnny P delivers raw, lived-in blues that pull you straight into the world he’s walked.
