Joey Trio/Quadrapeg

Three things bind this quartet together: friendship, a love of jazz and funk, and a shared sense of humor. In the 2010s, Bassist Jameson Stewart, organist Ben Blanchard, drummer Patrick Dalton, and guitarist Sam Crawford formed a close personal and musical rapport working together as sidemen in various styles. It wouldn't be long until they tried playing their own instrumental music as a quartet. Today, QuadraPeg brings joy and vitality to their compositions and improvisations, always with a solid groove, camaraderie, and a touch of the absurd.

Joey Thieman is a multi-instrumentalist who moved to the Boston area in 2022 after living and performing in Kentucky for nearly 20 years. He plays a wide variety of styles and furthermore mixes styles seamlessly. In a jazz setting he reimagines the works of bands such as Nirvana, Radiohead, Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles mixing them with jazz, classical, and funk. During a typical performance he switches between organ, trumpet, piano, singing and guitar at will. His show represents his wide range of musical interests, and is meant to take the audience on an emotional journey.
