Laughing at a time like this? Well, it takes chutzpah. The progressive Jewish community could really use a laugh about now, and the Just Kidding Comedy Collective is delighted to deliver with this incredible lineup of local Jewish comedians! Don't miss Dana Fleitman, Carmiya Weinraub, Max Wolfson, Stacey Axler, Joey Friedman, and Hannah Lebowitz-Lockard.

Plus, a portion of proceeds go to Jews United for Justice - an inspiring local nonprofit truly doing the work that exemplifies progressive Jewish values: immigrant justice, housing justice, racial equity, and coalition-building.

TLDR: We do NOT WANT deportations, fascism, or war. We DO WANT tacos, community, and laughter. Let's make it happen!

This venue has a 2-item minimum (Food and/or drinks -- full bar plus mocktails, sodas, etc. Let us know if this won't be possible due to Kashrut!). Doors at 6:30pm, Show at 7:30pm.

Hey, nobody's perfect! Anyone interested in supporting great local comedy and Jews United for Justice is welcome.

What do you mean there's a 2-item-per-person minimum?

Pikio Taco at The Generator Hotel is a gorgeous venue that's being gracious in hosting us, so we have to make it worth their while! Each guest must purchase 2 items (can be dinner, cocktails, sodas, anything). Note a 2-item PP minimum is pretty typical at comedy venues!

Is there a specific viewpoint on international events being promoted here?

Nope. Community is important, and this event is about getting together for joy, laughter, and supporting the good work that JUFJ does here in the DMV. Learn more about them and come on out if their advocacy aligns with your values!

Just Kidding Comedy Collective (JKCC) envisions a world with justice and silliness for all! Rooted in community and driven by a shared commitment to equity, justice, and punchlines that land with purpose, we create space for voices often pushed to the margins of mainstream comedy with a focus on gender diversity. JKCC is the brainchild of Dana Fleitman and Reem Seliem, two DC-area comedians/producers by night and professional do-gooders by day. We are passionate about creating, elevating, and celebrating the joyful, diverse, and progressive spirit of the DC area and use humor as a tool for truth-telling, joy-making, and resistance.
