Jewelry: Sand Casting with Stones

By Chimera Arts

Overview

Learn to cast gemstones directly into metal in this focused, two-day workshop.

On Jan 10-11, join Brienna Hall for a hands-on workshop focused on gem-in-place sand casting—casting stones directly into your work during the pour. You’ll refine your layout, preparation, and pouring techniques to confidently incorporate stones into finished castings.

This workshop is designed for participants with prior sand casting experience who are ready to build on their skills and try something new.

Instructor: Brienna Hall is the artist behind Shrine Jewelry, known for expressive, one-of-a-kind pieces that blend traditional casting with textile-inspired techniques. Based in Mendocino, she explores jewelry as both adornment and personal expression, and teaches sand casting to help others bring their ideas to life. Her background in sculpture and fiber arts informs both her teaching and her design process.

Kit Fee: Made payable to instructor day of class. Includes the cost of materials, metal and stones $90.

Cancelation Policy: This class has a minimum attendance of 4. Refunds will be given fully (minus eventbrite fee) if requested 72 hours prior to the class start time
