Please join us for an intimate performance of music from Jesse Beaman in the Library at the Philosophical Research Society!

Jesse Beaman is an experimental musician, composer, artist, producer and record label owner. His mother was a refugee from Nicaragua who gave birth to Jesse in Miami Beach, Florida. Jesse was adopted at birth and raised in New York City and Central Texas. He currently resides in Mexico City, Mexico.

From 2010-2022 he has gained a cult following through more than a decade of performing concerts starting at an early age of 20 years old, Jesse toured the world performing in a total of twenty five countries across Europe, Latin America, Australia and North America. His extensive tours had him cross paths with some of the most influential musicians of the last several decades...sharing the stage and moments with legends like KAZU Makino of Blonde Redhead, synth pioneer Suzanne Ciani, Chicago indie rock pioneers Tim Kinsella of JOAN OF ARC, This Will Destroy You, Silver Mt Zion, CocoRosie and renowned ambient artist Julianna Barwick.

In 2016 Jesse struck a friendship and collaboration partnership with producer/musician Brandon Curtis of the world famous bands INTERPOL and SECRET MACHINES.

Over the course of a few years the two started to work remotely on an album together. In the winter of 2019 for a month Jesse moved into Brandon’s house in New England to begin a series of recording sessions during an ice cold winter. It was in these sessions where a majority of the album was made. Jesse released the album ‘MIRA’ on MAX/MIN Records in 2021 during the pandemic.

The making of Jesse’s album ‘MIRA’ sparked a few collaborations with INTERPOL drummer Sam Fogarino, where they collaborated on two tracks during the lock down. These were released exclusively on Bandcamp now becoming a rarity to find or to hear.

During the years of touring the world Jesse managed to compose music that was featured in various National Geographic documentaries, Vogue Italia and Gucci fashion advertisements plus the music for a documentary made by one of the most known portrait photographers in the world, Mark Seliger.
