Climbing Sessions
Develop strength, confidence, and teamwork through climbing—a fun and challenging activity that combines problem-solving, physical endurance, and trust.
7 session every Thursday evening 4 - 6pm
Based at our indoor climbing wall at Grand Vaux Youth Centre
What to Expect:
Young people will learn essential skills for safe and confident climbing, including:
- Moving efficiently and safely on different climbing routes
- Understanding climbing techniques like footwork, balance, and grip
- Safe use of climbing equipment such as harnesses, ropes, and belay devices
- Learn many differnt climbing knots and rope work
- Effective communication and teamwork between climber and belayer
- Building problem-solving skills through route navigation
- Recognizing and managing risks in a controlled environment
- Developing leadership, support, and resilience
All sessions are delivered by fully qualified instructors from the Jersey Youth Service Outdoor Learning Team.

Who: Senior-level young people aged 15+
Registration: Must be registered with the Jersey Youth Service

Expectations:
Once signed up its expected that young people come to every session.
Arriving on time for the start of the session at Grand Vaux Youth Centre

Comforatble clothes that wont restrict movment
Sturdy sports shoes, rock climbing shoe avaible to use
