About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

DRMAC's Local Coordinating Councils are a great resource that is conducive to sustaining an effective transportation system.

Each LCC is an alliance of community organizations, individuals, local government, and other interested groups that work together to identify and fulfill the public and human service transportation needs of their counties. Key target populations include older adults, people with disabilities, and low-income populations.

LCCs operate on the understanding that public services operate better when people work together. Sharing knowledge, resources, and opportunities allows systems and services to progress faster and easier than if agencies continue on alone. A monthly meeting allows stakeholders in the transit community to share their initiatives, support the programs that their peers are working on, and learn from regional and local speakers. LCCs bring anyone and everyone to the table who is interested in the future of transportation in their county.

The Jefferson County LCC meets via Zoom on the first Thursday of every month from 1:30-2:30pm.
