Jazz Jam is back! Join us at Hayes Valley Art Works garden (HVAW) for our monthly jazz jam the last Saturday of every month. Everyone is welcome - including dogs! Enjoy the jazz stylings in the beautiful sculpture garden at Hayes Valley Art Works, corner of Octavia and Oak!

This is an event that's open to everyone, with light refreshments available by donation. We suggest a $10 cover donation, though no one is turned away. We encourage support for the band by giving a donation.

This month we will have.new Figurative art exhibit in the galleryaour Art from. Garden exhibit in our converted shipping container gallery! Meet more than a dozen local artists showing works in our gallery.

Enjoy the garden, stroll through the lush greenery and enjoy the art in the gallery.

Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays, 12-4 pm, or by appointment. A portion of the purchases goes to support community art at Hayes Valley Art Works.

HAYES VALLEY ART WORKS: A COMMUNITY CREATION SPACE

Hayes Valley Art Works is a place to come together to discuss, learn, teach, share and express artistic vision for the betterment of the neighborhood. Our gallery is in the container at Oak Street and Octavia Blvd and gardens in the block between Oak and Page.

Our dynamic community of artists, neighbors, and local businesses have come together to create and display original pieces, curate exhibits, share public performances, community events and unique gathering spaces on a vacant lot.

The lots (Site R & S) are slated for affordable housing in approximately 2 years; in the meantime, through a partnership with Hayes Valley Art Works, Hayes Valley Neighborhood Association, Friends of the Urban Forest, the City and County of San Francisco, and other supporters, this space has been made available for programming that will enhance the neighborhood.

We are currently open to the public four days a week: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, from 11am to 4pm
