Join us in Jazz Greats: Classic Photographs from the Bank of America Collection for a performance with The Charles Craig Trio.

The Charles Craig Trio is comprised of Ron Brendle, bassist, Tim Scott Jr., drummer, and Charles Craig, pianist. The Charles Craig Trio is known to deliver a dynamic and authentic jazz sound with his manager, Annette Craig, often stating “These are some of the finest Jazz Kings of the Queen City!” The set list includes jazz tunes by Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, John Coltrane, & more.


About the Artists:


Pianist, Charles Craig, attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and performed with notable Jazz artists including Grammy Award Winner Arturo Sandoval, Grammy Award Winner Christian McBride, Grammy Award Winner Roy Hargrove, Saxophonist Teodross Avery, and ‘the Little Giant’ of hard-bop idiom Johnny Griffin. Charles recorded with Christian McBride on ‘A Family Affair’, Teodross Avery on ‘In Other Words’ and ‘My Generation’. Charles has performed internationally at The Hague North Sea Jazz Festival, Sydney Opera House, Jazz Jamboree in Warsaw, Poland, and The Jazz Plaza Festival in Cuba. Charles has performed Nationally at The Newport Jazz Festival, BET Jazz, Madam Walker Legacy Center, The legendary Blue Note Jazz Club NYC, Village Vanguard, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Middle C Jazz, Chicago Jazz Fest, and Jacksonville Jazz Festival to name a few.

Charles owns Charles Craig Arts and Education.


Ron Brendle attended Appalachian State University. Ron played and recorded with Jazz Greats Clark Terry, John Ambercrombie, Mose Allison, and many others. Ron is the recipient of two North Carolina Arts Council Jazz Composer Fellowship Grants.


Tim Scott, Jr. attended North Carolina Central University. Tim toured with the Grammy Nominated group The Foreign Exchange. Tim has shared the stage with the likes of Robert Glasper, Fantasia, and Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest. Tim owns and operates TiMar Entertainment.
