Jared Siler: Under the Current
Overview
Author and school psychologist Jared Siler presents his independently published debut novel, Under the Current.
ABOUT THE BOOK
He has everything—except peace. Tristen's brilliance, wealth, and Silicon Valley prestige mask the truth he's never faced: the silent, unhealed wounds left by his father's absence. When his carefully constructed life begins to crumble, he flees to California's wild, unyielding coast. There, the ocean's fierce and unpredictable power becomes both mirror and adversary, forcing him to confront the fractures in his identity and the pain he's buried for decades. As career, relationships, and self-beliefs collapse, Tristen stands at a breaking point-clinging to control will destroy him, but surrendering to vulnerability might just save him.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jared Siler is a fiction writer and licensed school psychologist whose work explores self-discovery, loss, trauma, and healing. When he’s not writing, he enjoys travel, journaling, meditation, movies, sports, and the outdoors, finding connection through both storytelling and lived experience.
