Instructor Eri Luman
Eri Luman is a Japanese artist living in Portland. She has been practicing calligraphy since she was a child. In 2007, she had the profound experience of being infused with energy and becoming one with the brush stroke. It was then that she was struck with the idea that “calligraphy is meditation”. She began teaching meditation art after her initial demonstration at the Portland Japanese Garden. She has since created her own teaching handbook for meditation calligraphy.

Around 14, but of course, it depends on the person.
What are my parking options?
Street parking in the neighborhood is free on the weekends.

Hello! Good Morning! is a unique Portland gift shop and toy store. Fun for kids and grownups too!
Visit us inside CARGO at 81 SE Yamhill St. There is a parking lot in the back of the building.
Eclectic and whimsical, we carry unique toys and games, beautifully illustrated children's books, kawaii Japanese stationery, one of a kind vintage, cool folk art, funky home decor as well as handmade gifts by local NW artists.
We seek out delightful alternatives to mainstream brands and travel several times a year to bring interesting and unconventional art, fun toys, and crafty gifts from other countries. We specialize in Japanese imported gifts such as textiles and kawaii stationery. Our shop is lovingly curated with presents and greeting cards for birthdays, parties, Christmas, holidays and just for fun!
If you live in Portland or visiting Portland, we are a great gift shop near you. We are located inside Cargo (near OMSI) which is a Portland attraction. Cargo is an excellent antique store, imported furniture store, jewelry shop, and home goods store. Cargo also has Giraffe Japanese deli for lunch, sake, and Japanese snacks. Tasi Designs Jewelry is next to Hello! Good Morning! and there are several greeting card makers, too. We host kid's workshops, art shows, and other fun things to do in Portland. Don't forget to visit our vintage b&w photobooth!
