About this event
Whether you’re a ceramic artist looking to diversify your skill set, an artist wanting to try a new medium, or if you’re just looking for a fun, creative couple or friend group experience, this class is for you!
In this unique workshop, ceramic artists Cindy & Patrick Haga of Funky Natured will teach you how to underglaze a mug that was wheel-thrown and handled by Patrick. You will get to choose a jack-o-lantern face underglaze transfer and be taught how to apply it to your undeglazed mug. After decorating the mugs, we will apply a food safe clear glaze. All clay, tools, and glaze will be provided. The jars will be fired in our kiln after they have dried and can be picked up from CelebrateMe 2 weeks after the class. (before Halloween)

All The Details:
- Age Level: 18+
- Skill Level: Beginner-Intermediate
- All supplies and tools are provided for use during class.
- Price is per person. A ticket must be purchased for each individual attending the class.
- Class requires a minimum of 5 students and there is a maximum of 8 students. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Class will run approximately 1.5-2 hours. Please note that the class is hands-on and may run over or under schedule.
- Ceramics is not an exact science. Results can vary and can be unpredictable. Due to high firing temperatures around 2200 degrees F, the ceramic process is often a volatile process that can result in pieces cracking, breaking, or exploding in the kiln. While every precaution will be taken to ensure that doesn’t happen, sometimes the kiln gods say otherwise. In the event that your piece is damaged, the resulting pieces will be available to pick up, and we recommend gluing your piece back together with a strong adhesive like E6000, this will hold your piece together, but it will no longer be food safe.
Cancellation Policy:
- Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and throw pottery for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 5 days prior to the class. If you need to cancel after 5 days but at least 48 hours in advance, we can offer you a credit for a future class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
