We love a great voice here at The City Screen Picture House, and these are two of the best on the folk circuit. It’s the return of the wonderful J P Worsfold.. J P will be playing material from his latest album, Wild Returning and from across his career.

J P Worsfold will be supported by Wounded Bear.

J P Worsfold is a writer of emotional contemplative contemporary folk songs that speak of connection, joy and belonging.

With a subtle blend of rich vocal harmony, sweeping string arrangements alongside heartfelt piano and guitar.

They are songs to evoke life’s deeper meaning and to inspire connection within ourselves and the natural space around us.

You will find yourself captivated by spellbinding songs and performances that leave audiences feeling genuinely moved by a truly magical event.

Wounded Bear

“After touring with Benjamin Francis Leftwich and co-writing New York—covered live by Matt Healy of The 1975—Josh of Wounded Bear has returned to his own music. With a blend of folk storytelling and intricate fingerstyle guitar, Wounded Bear weaves vivid vignettes of love and the fleeting moments that shape our lives. In his songs, wine is drunk from coffee cups, bars are filled with waitresses dressed as cheerleaders and planes overhead hint possible futures. Time and again, Josh draws us into scenes that feel achingly familiar, so much so that they could be our own.“

Doors will open at 19:00 with the first act taking to the stage at 19:30. There is no reserved seating.
