Join Tree Stewards David Marrs and Laura Long for a “Spring into Summer” tree walk at Ivy Creek Natural Area (ICNA). The walk will begin with a conversation about the trees and landscapes transitioning from Spring to Summer, why trees grow where they are, and the best ways to ID the most common trees.
This is an easy to moderate walk on established trails that will last about 1.5 hours. The trails are well maintained with only slight inclines and declines. A short portion of the trail is single-file with a slight slope. The walk route will be mostly in shaded wooded areas with a short part of the walk in the open sun.
Please meet at the Ivy Creek Natural Area kiosk as you go from the parking area towards the barn. Wearing long pants and boots is highly recommended and bring hydration if needed.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
