No Italian? No problem! In our online Italian for Beginners - A1S1 class, you will learn everyday words and phrases to help you speak Italian with confidence. Our dedicated Italian teachers will help you establish strong foundations in the Italian language, focusing on proper pronunciation, basic grammar, and useful vocabulary.


Dates: August 4 through September 22, 2025 (no class on Labor Day, September 1)

Time: Mondays, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Location: Online via Zoom

Price: $250 ICCC Members | $275 General Admission

Materials: We will use the book Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano 1A for this course. It is available to purchase at the Italian Cultural & Community Center for $30, with shipping options available at an additional cost.


Note: It takes about a year to go from a complete beginner level to an intermediate level. This Italian for Beginners - A1S1 course is the first in a series designed to reach the intermediate level in seven, seven-week sessions for a total of 49 weeks instruction. After the first seven-week session, tuition rates drop to $225 for ICCC members and $250 for General Admission. This course is for ages 18+ only.


Cancellation Policy: Due to high demand for courses, tuition is non-refundable. We offer tuition credit toward a future group class if you cancel 48 hours in advance of the start of the first class. Tuition credit is valid for six months from the date issued. If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance, your tuition payment will be converted into a tax-deductible donation to the Italian Cultural & Community Center. No credits or refunds will be given to students who miss a portion of the class. To cancel your reservation, email us at School@iccchouston.com. Eventbrite fees are non-refundable.

How is the course structured?

Our Italian for Beginners – A1S1 course is the first in a series. Each session is seven weeks, and you’ll remain with your cohort of fellow students, meeting at the same time on the same day each week. When the first seven-week session ends, you’ll have the option to register for another session.

Can I register if I'm still in high school?

This class is for adults over the age of 18 years old only. For more information about private Italian lessons for kids and teens, please email us at School@iccchouston.com.

What materials do I need for the first class?

We’ll use the book Nuovissimo Progetto 1A, available for purchase at ICCC Houston for $30. Shipping options are available for an additional fee. This book will cover 5 months of instruction. Make sure you have a strong wifi connection and be sure to create a free Zoom account before the first class.

How do I access the Zoom meeting?
