It Takes Two is an event dedicated to providing a welcoming space for people to experience tango for the first time. The SF Bay Area has one of the largest tango communities in the country with classes, practicas, and milongas happening everyday. It Takes Two will give particpants a chance to experience all three environments in one full immersive experience!
What to expect:
- A brief history lesson on the origins of Argentine tango
- Introductory lesson focusing on the basics of the embrace and walking
- Overview of milonga etiquette
- Open floor to practice and experience an intimate milonga
- Empanadas, alfajores, and water will be provided
Recommended attire:
This event can be a date night for two lovers or a fun activity for a group of friends. Wear whatever clothes make you comfortable! Strong recommendation is to wear dance shoes or shoes with smooth leather bottoms.
