ISSA-HR Presents: From Unbreakable to Broken Encryption/ Monthly Meeting

Talk Description
Quantum computers are poised to break today’s “uncrackable” encryption in minutes, putting sensitive data at risk. Nation states and cybercriminals are already harvesting encrypted traffic to unlock later when quantum power becomes mainstream. Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and cryptographic agility are the keys to staying ahead. This session will demystify PQC, explain what it takes to prepare, and highlight how forward-thinking organizations are already securing the post-quantum future.

Speaker: Mark Zalubas
With over 30 years of experience spanning federal and commercial sectors, Mark brings deep expertise in systems engineering, software development, product management, and technical leadership. He has contributed to organizations ranging from industry giants like GE Aerospace, Oracle, and Convergys to his own startup, Avise Solutions. Since 2013, Mark has served as Product Manager at Cybertap, leading the development and deployment of cybersecurity technologies across the federal government. He holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland and an M.S. in Electrical Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech.
