Israeli and Palestinian Neighbors: Finding humanity through shared stories

Come join us for an evening of inspiring stories and meaningful conversations as we bring together an Israeli and Palestinian friends and fathers to share their experiences and build connections. This event aims to foster understanding and empathy through personal narratives, highlighting our shared humanity.

Dotan and Isaac are Decatur dads who are from Israel and Palestine, respectively. They met at an event in Decatur only to learn that Dotan’s university dorm room was only a 5 minute walk from Isaac’s family home in Jerusalem. That chance meeting has grown into a strong friendship where they share deep conversations about the strife in their shared homeland. Isaac and Dotan wanted to open up those conversations to their Georgia neighbors, creating space to share perspectives, challenges and stories about their lives in Israel, Palestine, and Georgia.
