About this event
Why are there so many stray cats in Tel Aviv? Do citizens of the Jewish state go to the polls every Tuesday, or what? And how did Israelis get to be so darn Israeli?
Join us for a night of comedy celebrating Israel's 75th birthday as Anglo-Israeli comedians Joel Chasnoff and Benji Lovitt answer these questions and more!
"Israel is more than a country; it's a conversation," say the comedians, who together co-authored a new book "Israel 201," to unpack the magic, mystery and chaos of one of the world's most fascinating and misunderstood places.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $5 for college students and children under 18. Copies of "Israel 201" are available for purchase by pre-order with your ticket.
Hosted at Stephen Wise Free Synagogue, this communal Yom Ha'atzmaut celebration is co-sponsored by Amplify Israel, BBYO, Congregation Habonim, Congregation Rodeph Sholom, Lincoln Square Synagogue, UJA-Federation of New York and the Jewish Agency for Israel.
This event is also made possible thanks to the Stephen Wise Free Synagogue Israel Committee and the Schwartz Israel Fund.
