Description

Are you concerned about your risk of brain decline now or in the future? Maybe you have noticed brain fog, poor memory or concentration? Perhaps you have a family member diagnosed with dementia?

In November 2016, the Office for National Statistics released figures showing that dementia is now the leading cause of death in England and Wales, replacing heart disease. A woman in the Western world now has a greater chance of developing Alzheimer's Disease than breast cancer.

Whilst Alzheimer's and dementia may be diagnosed in our 70s or 80s, the processes that eventually result in dementia occur much earlier - in our 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s. This is why it is so important to take preventitive action early.

The first breakthrough in reversing Alzheimer's Disease has come from Dr Dale Bredesen, Professor of Neurology and Director of Alzheimer's Disease Research Centre UCLA. His novel approach uses mainly nutrition and lifestyle factors to reverse symptoms of cognitive decline. Our Action Against Alzheimer's talk will go into detail on the diet and lifestyle measures that he is using successfully in the United States.
