Colloquy is a form of community sharing. It is an opportunity to engage in deep listening with compassion and understanding. In this way we hope every voice is heard and our circles encouraged and enlarged.
Join us for a meaningful circle of conversation: Is voting enough? At this colloquy we will explore what ethical civic engagement means in our time. Voting is a foundational act of democracy—but is it sufficient on its own to build the kind of society we aspire to?
Together we will:
- Engage in deep listening and compassionate sharing where every voice matters.
- Reflect on questions like: When we vote, what are we really doing? What responsibilities follow? What forms of action might we embrace beyond voting?
- Experience a facilitated conversation led by long-time members and trustees of Brooklyn Ethical, Lujira and Vandra.
Whether you join in person or from home, come ready to listen, share, and consider how our ethical lives as individuals and community members are shaped by civic action.
