About this event

*This event is free and open to the community. If you are able, we welcome your support with a suggested donation of $10 or more per ticket.*

Reading well by third grade is one of the strongest predictors of a child’s future success—in school, in the workplace, and in life. When children fall behind in reading early on, it becomes much harder for them to catch up. Pima County's Percent of Arizona 3rd grade students who scored Proficient or Highly Proficient on the Arizona Academic Standards Assessment (AASA) stands at 37.4%. Join us for a discussion on early childhood education and 3rd grade reading to learn how we can make a difference in helping our kids and community succeed.

Consider bringing a new or gently used K-3rd grade book and/or sweater to support the TUSD Family Resource Centers.

This event will take place in room 350 in the Modern Languages Building on the University of Arizona campus. The 2nd Street garage is the closest paid parking garage.
