The daughter of first generation Irish Americans, Siusan O'Rourke was brought up to appreciate the music of her culture. Drawn to music recounting the experience of emigration, she serves up renditions of old-time selections along with inspired original songs. Siusan sings in a deep rich alto, with a warm and inviting delivery. She offers music and stories, both somber and whimsical. Siusan travels seamlessly from treasured timeless tunes to contemporary Irish songs to Irish-tinged American roots music.
Zig Zeitler is dedicated to the creation, performance, and teaching of music. He brings every kind of American roots music to the duo's repertoire, on guitar, banjo, fiddle, harmonica, and the Irish bouzouki.
