The Internet of Things (IoT) is a world where up to 50 billion things (or devices) will be connected to the Internet by 2020; or the equivalent of 6 devices for every person on the planet. Between 2013 and 2022, $19 trillion of value (net profit) will be “up for grabs” for enterprises globally - driven by IoE.

Join us for our second IoT meetup, two speakers, who are at the forefront of their industries, will speak about how to get started with IoT products and challenges that you might come across during the process.

People of all backgrounds, ages and interests are welcomed. After the talks, you will have a chance to network with interesting people not just from the industry whilst enjoying a drink and a snack.

Speakers
Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino (London, UK) is an interaction designer, product designer, entrepreneur & speaker based in London. She was named 2nd in Top 100 Internet of Things Thought Leaders (Onalytica, 2014). Since 2006, she has build consumer-facing IoT products, services and communities for clients such as BBC R&D, Nokia, British Gas, EDF, British Telecom. She’s been running IoT London meetup since 2011 and helped a lot of startups with prototyping their ideas.

Tomáš Poláček (Prague, CZ) is a hardware engineer focused on radioelectronics, microcontrollers, assembly and interface. He started as Development Manager at Jablotron Alarms, later worked as Application Engineer for superconductor manufacturers STMicroelectronics and Texas Instruments. These days he’s supporting hardware and business development at the process of building IoT network on SIGFOX technology in Czech Republic. He build all the smart devices for his home by himself.
