About this event

Community • Nationality

IofC USA's Circle Up Reading Community gathers several times throughout the year to share a meal, read a selected book together, and engage in meaningful discussion. We provide the books for free and in advance of the meeting to ensure all participants can fully participate in the conversation.

Our next Reading Community will focus on the book 10 Ways We Can Advance Social Justice Without Destroying Each Other by Hannibal B. Johnson.📚

Join us on Monday, October 21, from 6–8 p.m. at Common House (303 Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23220) where we'll discuss Johnson's book, dive into its themes, and explore how the text can inspire our shared work right here in Richmond. We’re also excited to announce that the author will be joining us virtually to take part in the conversation!

We believe in making our programs open and accessible to everyone. The event, the book, and the meal are free to all who wish to participate.

Your help make things like Circle Up Reading Community possible, and we welcome your support—no donation is too small or too large. Your investment in our programs allows us to keep providing books, meals, and inclusive spaces.

We can’t wait to share an evening of fellowship, conversation, and community with you!
