Invest in Peace
The Nonviolence Institute is thrilled to announce our 16th annual Invest in Peace fundraiser. This year’s event will celebrate our Sister Ann Keefe Award winner Larson Gunness and Community Impact Award winner, Shameem Awan. We will also honor our partner Navigant Credit Union with our Emerging Leader award and Highlander Charter School with the Beloved Community School award. We look forward to welcoming and gathering with those who care deeply about our work and recognize that this is an opportunity to consider the importance of our Beloved Community, reflective of the actions and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Invest in Peace is a celebration of hope. Your generous support will ensure that our Victim Services clients, high-risk Outreach clients, and young adults enrolled in our SEED (Skills Enrichment and Emotional Development) program receive a high-quality and healing continuum of care. It also ensures that we can provide nonviolence training to hundreds of Rhode Island law enforcement, community group members, teachers and students. The work we do is vital and we need your help.
This year, we have introduced a pay what you can model, with the lowest ticket price starting at $20.00. We want Invest in Peace to be accessible and representative of our entire community while still offering individuals an ability to give at their comfort level. All tickets have the same benefits (except Sponsorships). We can't wait to see you!
