About this event
- Event lasts 4 hours
Step into a space where you can peel back the layers — a space of deep connection and self-discovery. Intuitive Flow is an immersive experience designed to ignite the connection between heart, mind, body, and soul through restorative yoga and expressive movement informed by modern dance and guided improvisation. We will explore inner wisdom, tune into presence, and give form to the unseen.
This is an invitation to listen deeply, move freely, and express yourself authentically — honoring the intuition that flows within you. No prior experience is needed — just a willingness to explore, feel, flow, and rest. Come as you are. Our intention is to offer guidance and community to support you in cultivating and receiving nourishment, connection, and harmony with yourself.
Please bring comfortable clothes you can move in (including a long-sleeved layer), a snack, and a journal.
Class Overview:
Opening Circle / Check-In (10 min) We’ll welcome ourselves as we are and check in with whatever feels present for you.
Grounding Meditation & Intention Setting (15 min) We’ll begin with a seated meditation to connect with all five senses, heart, and soul through compassion and non-judgment. You’ll be invited to set an intention for your inner journey and how you wish to experience it.
Gentle Yoga (30 min) A therapeutic yoga practice will offer space to explore how your body feels in the moment through gentle poses and breathwork. You'll be encouraged to tune into your intuition, notice what feels good, and observe where you may hold tension.
Honoring the Wisdom Within (1 hour) Through guided journaling, gentle movement explorations, and partner sharing, we’ll practice listening to the body’s deep intuition and reflect on how to support what we hear.
Expressive Movement & Dance (1 hour) We'll move through a gentle, full-bodied warm-up into slow, luscious, expressive movement. You’ll be invited to explore your own authentic movement and connect playfully with the group.
Restorative Practice (55 min) With long, supported pauses and deep stretches using props, you’ll be invited to fully integrate, re-calibrate, and rest. This is a time to dwell in your “you” space with no expectations.
Closing Circle (10 min) We’ll come together to share and integrate our experience in community.
This event is in-person only. Tickets Sliding Scale $35 - $80 with no one turned away for lack of funds
About Aja-
When Aja Lauren found yoga, she discovered it was the perfect union of movement and spiritual practice. In this polarity, she found humility and awareness, and continues to study the endless depth of her inner self. The older she gets, the more she realizes that rest is the key to all aspects of her well-being, and yoga is at the center of her restorative, healing journey.
Aja became a 200-hour certified yoga teacher in 2019 (Hot Spot Yoga – Oakland), with an additional 50-hour certification in prenatal yoga in 2021 (The Dolphin Method). She considers it a privilege to guide people through their own mindful practices. Yoga is a deeply personal and introspective journey, and she honors this philosophy with each of her students. With specialties in vinyasa, restorative, and prenatal yoga, she curates yoga sequences with breathwork and/or guided poses — inviting her students to stay present, curious, and explore the connection of mind, body, and spirit.
In addition to facilitating spaces that explore presence, connection, safety, and nourishment, Aja wears many hats — including birthworker, program manager, friend, partner, and forever student .Check out Aja on IG at @aja_lauren
About Suzanne-
With three decades of modern dance experience and 12 years of teaching, Suzanne Beahrs guides students in exploring movement as a pathway to deeper connection — with ourselves, our surroundings, and each other. Her classes blend technical training, creative expression, and guidance on being intentional with how we are each practicing. Her movement style was described by The New York Times as “grounded, silken.” In addition to modern dance, she is currently heavily influenced by house dance, contact improvisation, and mindfulness practices.
She is currently on faculty at Shawl-Anderson Dance Center and has previously taught extensively at ODC, Gibney, Elon University, ADF Studios, and more. She has shown her choreography in NY, NC, CA, AZ, MA, and MO, and performed in works by Ishika Seth, Mo Miner, and others.
Beyond the studio, Suzanne enjoys exploring visual art, writing, nature, and music. As a facilitator, she works to nurture belonging and inclusion within ourselves, our communities, and our organizations. Learn more about Suzanne here: suzannebeahrs.com
