Introductory Workshop on Mindfulness and MBSR for Busy Brains
Overview
Are you constantly living in your head?
If you are tired of: repeating scenes from the past over and over, critiquing yourself and others, planning and rehearsing your next move all the time, worrying about the future – all in the head, this workshop is for you.
Come join for a free, interactive 90-minute session designed specifically for people who have busy brains. We will explore how mindfulness and MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) can help you break free from the constant stream of mental chatter and find a new way of living.
What we will learn:
· What mindfulness is and what it isn't.
· Focused attention meditation
· How to practice and apply mindfulness to daily activities.
· About MBSR and free resources
Who is this for?
- You identify as an "overthinker" or an "intellectualizer."
- You find it hard to "switch off" after work or before bed.
- You love to think, but somehow feel stressed when in thoughts.
- Beginners are welcome! No prior meditation experience is necessary. This is a "camera-on" interactive workshop where we will practice together in a supportive, small-group environment.
Why is this free?
I am offering this workshop as part of my practicum requirement for my Mindfulness Teacher Certification. In exchange for this free session, all I ask is your presence and participation.
