Summary: In this five hour course students will learn how to properly and safely set up and use a wood lathe to create a set of candle holders.


Description: This course is designed for the beginning wood turner. All students will receive demonstrations on how to prepare a wood blank for spindle turning, how to glue up wood properly for success during turning, machine and tool vocabulary and safety, and tool use techniques. As an added bonus, students will learn how to easily mix their own polish for an incredibly fast and easy way to finish a turned object.

About the Instructor:

Lucas Aguilar is a University of Georgia graduate with a major in Studio Art. You can usually find Lucas (also known as Luca) building furniture, welding, or dressing sets. He has two cats and Youtube series called "Hey How's That Work With Luca." Before all of this, he used to fix fancy wristwatches.

Yes, please notify us before ticket sales end about any transfer of purchase.


What is the refund policy?

A: We will refund any ticket requested for any reason up to 7 days before the course date. If possible we will make every effort to transfer tickets to future course dates if contacted more than 24 hours before the course begins. If the class cannot run as scheduled, purchaser will have the option of a full refund or credit towards ta future class.
