About this event

Travel & Outdoor • Hiking

This class is designed to help get you started in learning how to track wildlife, focusing on how to see tracks, what to look for, and a great overview of the tracks and trail patterns of the more common mammals you might find. This class focuses primarily on the mammals of the Mt Hood area (though most of the same animals are found in the Portland are as well), and is required training for participating in the Wolverine Tracking Project tracking surveys.

There are two parts to the class:

  • an onlne class, November 13, 6:30-8:30 pm, and
  • an optional field class at Oxbow Regional Park. There is no extra charge for the field session, however, there is a $5 entrance fee to the park. There are 3 field sessions to choose from, November 15, November 23, or November 29, 10:00am -noon (choose 1 session).

This class is offered with a sliding scale fee - pay what you can. Our recommended price is $65 but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. We want you to come!
