Introduction to Water Trapping in Illinois - Workshop
Overview
This is a free workshop open to adults 18 and over. Join the Illinois Learn to Hunt team for this workshop at Moraine Hills SP about water trapping in Illinois.
Beaver, muskrat, raccoon and more!
We will run a short trapline as a part of this workshop. Be prepared to hike outside a bit but we will make it so that you all don't need to get into the water. Feel free to wear waders if you like but any normal boots will work fine.
On top of running the trapline we will cover common sets for beaver, muskrats and more as well as common trapping equipment and how to use it. We will talk about regulations and uses for furbearers. All in a short workshop.
Registration is required and space is limited. We hope to see you there.
This course is NOT the Illinois trapper education course. Search "Illinois trapper education" for course offerings byt the Illinois Trapper's Association. You can take it online or in-person, allthough not many in-person classes this time of year typically because its trapping season of course.
This workshop is intended to get you some hands-on experience to go along with the Trapper Education course especially if you take the online course.
