Event description

Description

Many of us can identify a tree during the summer when it has its leaves, either by leaf shape, color or other obvious characteristics, but identifying trees in other seasons can be hard. Its important for industry professionals to know how to identify common trees in our region to know how to maintain them.

In this introductory class to tree identification, you will learn how to ID common trees from fall to spring.

Presentors: Wendy Hanson Mazet, certified arborist and Extension Plant Diagnostician, will teach the 1-hour in-class presentation on basics of tree ID. Rod Haulenbeek, certified arborist, will take you on three walking tours of Mira Loma Park to show you tree ID during fall, winter and spring.
