Introduction to TM1 for Consumers

IBM TM1 10.2 is a performance management system designed to provide flexible and timely planning answers, powerful scorecarding and dashboarding capabilities, and accurate reporting and analysis.

Based on a proven training curriculum, the Ironside Group will provide an instructor-led class that focuses on providing an introduction to TM1 and the related clients/tools and using TM1 to perform the following inter-related finance functions:

• Close, consolidate, and report
• Plan, forecast, and control
• Analyze and optimize

Course Outline

This 1-day class is suited for business users that need to know how to navigate and interact with TM1 to answer questions by viewing reports and inputting data into templates.

During class, students will examine the TM1 components and multi-dimensional data, create analyses based on an existing cube, analyze data using spreadsheets, format and print analyses, and use several of the front-end clients, including Microsoft Excel, TM1 Web, and IBM Cognos Insight.

Each topic will be highlighted with in-depth demos, Q&A sessions, and tips and techniques drawn from over 15 years of cross industry experience.

Observations

The curriculum is based on the most recent version of IBM TM1, and uses the sample data sources included in the IBM TM1 10.2 Samples package. For an even more enriching experience, the course content can be entirely customized to any customer’s environment, including, but not limited to the tutorials and workshops.

All our instructors are IBM certified. In addition, they provide the benefit of having more than 15 years of real-world experience.

Pre-requisites

A good comprehension of Microsoft Windows and the Office suite (particularly Excel).

Knowledge of your business requirements.
