Who is Ian Finley?

Ian Finley holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University, where he earned the Harry Kondoleon Award for playwriting. His play NATIVE was recently staged at North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theatre in 2024 and adapted as the film THE PROBLEM OF THE HERO in 2023.

Where is the classroom?

This class is hosted over Zoom. Be sure to log into the Zoom meeting while in a location with good internet connection.

Do I need to attend all four sessions?

We highly recommend that you attend all four sessions of the class. Each session focuses on a different aspect of playwriting that you don't want to miss!

Can I only attend and pay for one session?

Because space is limited, we are only offering seats to students that want to attend all four sessions. As an alternative, consider attending a free single-session workshop offered by The Cary Playwrights' Forum. But we recommend learning from Ian Finley if you are able!
