Introduction to Muzzleloaders - Willimantic

Introduction to Muzzleloaders - Willimantic

By Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife

Overview

Help with choosing the right muzzleloader for hunting, muzzleloader choices, gun features, safe storage, and shooting accuracy.

The session is directed to those who have bought a muzzleloader with the intent of using it during the muzzleloading season. This is a basic muzzleloader class starting from scratch and is not intended for those who know how to load and use a muzzleloader. We will include safe handling, use and storage as well as details about loading and cleaning. We will go over flintlocks, percussion guns and in-lines, and associated equipment that is used to hunt with a muzzleloader.
