Get ready to dive into the world of MIG welding at this exciting in-person event! Join us at the Make Nashville Makerspace.
This workshop is designed for beginners with little to no welding experience. The instructor will guide you through the basics of MIG welding, giving you hands-on experience and valuable tips.
The workshop will cover: safety, machine setup, laying a bead, and performing lap + filet welds on mild steel weld coupons. Each student will practice their welding skills and receive individualized feedback from the instructor. You'll have the chance to ask questions, interact with fellow enthusiasts, and gain confidence in your welding skills.

Knowledge Level: Beginner; Age level: 18+ years
NOTE: Proper clothing and PPE are required when welding. All students must wear a cotton long sleeve shirt, denim jeans or other natural fiber pants, and close-toed shoes. Polyester materials and skin-tight clothing may not be worn in this class.
Safety is always the first priority when welding. Students will be taught about how to mitigate potential risks when MIG welding including arc flash, UV burns, material burns, toxic fume inhalation, and fires.
