About this event

Although most students have used Google Docs or Microsoft Word for drafting essays and papers, there are alternatives that can outperform these in terms of aesthetics, flexibility, and power. One of such alternatives is LaTeX.

Although it can appear intimidating at first, LaTeX is an efficient tool that is used by several academic communities both inside and outside of Stanford due to its versatility.

In this studio, we will cover a brief overview of the history of LaTeX and then we will get our hands dirty by experimenting with basic commands in Overleaf. Please bring a laptop to maximize your learning experience. Snacks will be provided.

This Engineering Studio is presented by the Peer Learning Consultant Program at the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Student Success and Engagement Team at the School of Engineering.
