What kind of yoga poses are involved in Grief Yoga?

Grief Yoga is a unique spin on an ancient practice using movement, breath, and sound to release our suppressed emotions and make room for connection and self-care. This is a very gentle yoga practice done from a chair, standing, or on your mat, and is suitable for all bodies and experience levels.

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

Dress comfortably in clothing that will allow gentle movement of your spine, head, and limbs. Please remove your shoes before entering the studio.

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

Yoga mats and chairs are provided, as well as blocks, bolsters, and blankets if you prefer props. You might want to bring a journal and pen, and a water bottle.

Do I have to sign a safety agreement to participate in Grief Yoga?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When you arrive you'll sign a one-time agreement similar to what you have signed for other yoga classes. Remember, however, Grief Yoga is a unique spin on an ancient practice anyone can do from anywhere! These movements are as gentle or as challenging as YOU like to make them.
