Have you ever wanted to learn how to safely handle and use destructive devices and high explosives including C-4, Semtex, Emulsions, RDX, HMX, Comp-B, DetCord, Dynamite, ANFO, PETN, and binary liquid explosives? Now’s your chance. WCMG LLC has opened up their High Explosive Law Enforcement Training to the general public with no previous experience required. All attendees must be 18+ years old with a valid driver license, be able to pass a Federal Background Check, and be a US Citizen. The $20 background check fee is not included in the ticket price and must be paid seperately after your purchase your class ticket.

We offer three types of classes:

Introduction to Destructive Devices (DD) Class: This 8-hour class focuses on the hands-on use of different types of Destructive Devices, such as M433 40mm HEDP Round fired from an authentic M79 Grenade Launcher, RPG-7 Chalk Round, M67 HE Grenade (plastic body), M433 40mm HEDP Round, MK2 HE Grenade (real fragmentation body), M18A1 Claymore Mine, Satchel Charge (5 lbs of high explosive), Wine-Bottle Shape Charge , M9 Marine Flamethrower.

Our exclusive Destructive Device Class is your chance to handle and fire some of the most iconic and powerful explosive devices in history! Limited to just 12 students, this is a hands-on class. This is not a simulation—this is the real deal using real high explosives! Experience the raw power of these legendary devices under expert supervision in a safe, controlled environment. Whether you’re a history buff, firearms enthusiast, or just looking for an unforgettable adrenaline rush, this class is for you!

This class is HANDS-ON and will instruct students on the safe handling and use of Destructive Devices with most containing high explosives. After a short 15 minute safety briefing, the remaining 8 hours will be direct hands-on use of the above items.

All firings and setups will be done by students under the direct supervision of an experienced PA Certified Blaster. Class size is limited to 12 students to allow every attendee the chance to handle, set up, and detonate at least one firing. Students will be randomly choosen to fire the demostration item and then any student who purchased an Add-On firing will then fire their shot. Drinks and lunch will be provided at no cost.

To clarify on what students get to shoot: there are a minimal of 12 firings during the day, at least one of each item above plus repeats if we don't add additional DD's to the class. During the training phase for that item, one student will fire that item and then if any student purchased that item as an Add-On, then that student will also fire that item. So if you definitely want to fire a Claymore, then add that as an Add-On before checking out of Eventbrite. At the conclusion of a quick Q&A on each item, the class will be asked "Who wants to demo xxx" and we will randomly choose one student, BUT that student will not have the option to demo another item until all students get at least demo shot. All students will at minimal fire 2 DD's during the class WITHOUT having to purchase any Add-Ons. Only purchase Add-Ons for something that you definitely want to do in case you don't get choosen for that item. Properly items are Claymores and Satchel Charges.

Introduction to High Explosives (HE) Class: This 8-hour class focuses on the hands-on use of different types of HE, different types of firing lines, different types of detonators, and the different types of initiators. This class is HANDS-ON and will instruct students on the safe handling and use of multiple types of High Explosives. For the first 30 minutes of the class, students will be instructed on the history of HE, types of HE, types of detonators, types of firings, proper handling procedures, blast records, and lastly storage requirements. The remaining 7+ hours will be direct hands-on use of HE, including arming the blast initiator, laying the main trunk line, placing the charge, arming the charge with detonators (aka blasting caps) and then the actual firing of multiple types of charges. All firings and setups will be done by students under the direct supervision of an experienced PA Certified Blaster. Class size is limited to 18 students to allow every attendee the chance to handle, set up, and detonate multiple firings. Drinks and lunch will be provided.

Advanced Usage of High Explosives (HE) Class: This 8-hour class takes everything you learned in the Intro class and uses that knowledge in real-world applications. This class focuses on the hands-on use of multiple delayed firings, directional tree dropping, satchel charge, cutting charges, directional ground charges, shape charges, directional water charges, breaching a door using explosives, detonation of three Claymore mines daisy chained together with DetCord, and ending with a HE Grenade throw for the student that traveled the furthest to attend class. The Advance Class will have a refresher training for the first 30 minutes and then+ 7 hours of advanced training. Note: The intro Class is a prerequisite of the Advanced Usage class. Class size is limited to 18 students to allow every attendee the chance to handle, set up, and detonate multiple firings. Drinks and lunch will be provided.

Class Rules: NO cell phones or cameras are permitted to be used during the Introduction class except during a few "shots". Hard hats will be worn at all times and will be provided at no cost; however, students are encouraged to bring their own. Students must bring their own ear and eye protection.

NOTE: WCMG LLC holds multiple ATF Licenses including the coveted FEL Type 20(Dealer and Manufacturer of High Explosives) as well as FFL 10 (Dealer and Manufacturer of Destructive Devices), plus SOT type 02, and is registered with the Department of State (ITAR). Our lead HE instructor is a PA Certified Blaster with the Pennsylvania DEP Mining Division.

Weather Dependent: The safe use of High Explosives requires that there is limited lightning, therefor class may be cancelled if severe thunderstorms are forecasted within 24 hours of class. If the Saturday Introduction Class is cancelled, we will move the Intro Class to Sunday and cancel the Advanced Class. Students will receive 100% refund for their ticket for the cancelled class, however there are no reimbursements for travel, Eventbrite fees, or other expenses.

Refunds (other than weather): To put it simply, there are none, with the exception for cancellation due to lightning. Since classes almost always sell out, we do not offer refunds for personal reasons, missed flights, etc.
