During the 90 minute workshop we will practice channeling our prana through different breath techniques and exercises. Prana means breath or life force and yama means control. Pranayama means controlling the breath (or life force).

This workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced alike. After walking through the history and background, participants will learn 6 different breathing techniques and their benefits and then settle down for a longer guided breathwork and meditation practice. Together we will explore ancient yogic breathing techniques.

Tips for enjoying the breathwork experience:

Please arrive on an empty stomach (try not to eat too soon before class. Have at least a 2hr break in between your last meal and class time. Or have something very light.)
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely
Bring socks and a sweater or a blanket to stay warm
Bring your own yoga mat, water, and journal
