Introduction to Breastfeeding

The Introduction to Breastfeeding class is taught by the same Board Certified Lactation Consultant who will meet with you once your baby is born. This class is organized to help families become confident, prepared and excited about learning to breastfeed their new baby. Together we cover what to expect just after birth, during the early post partum period, and for your entire breastfeeding journey. Learn how to communicate with your baby and how to position, support and latch. Understand how to recognize that your baby is breastfeeding successfully. We will practice different nursing positions and talk about milk expression, collection and storage. We will also cover how to take good care of yourself postpartum and how to handle the challenges that most breastfeeding couple's encounter at some point. We hope to see you there.
