Workshop Details 

Workshop 1 – Understanding the Role of SMIA 
An interactive session exploring the role of the Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA) and its connections with other UK music industry organisations. We’ll look at different types of members, their job roles, and the career paths available in the music industry. The aim is to highlight SMIA’s importance in shaping the Scottish music landscape and introduce potential career opportunities for attendees. 

Workshop 2 – Organising the SAY Awards 
This workshop will introduce the Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Awards, explaining how the event is organised, promoted, and marketed. We’ll discuss the selection process for artists and the logistics behind an event of this scale. The goal is to provide insight into music industry marketing and event management while showcasing the significance of the SAY Awards.
