"NOISE VERSUS NEWS"


"TRUTH IN THE AGE OF AI: How AI systems generate realistic content and ways individuals can assess authenticity online."

Who: Our Speaker is Dale Blasingame, associate professor of practice in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Texas State University in San Marcos.

Dale Blasingame is a part of the Digital Media Innovation faculty, and he teaches courses that introduce students to different aspects of how technology is changing journalism, media, and marketing. As a former television news producer, he can explain both the academic and more practical aspects of journalism.


The zoom link will be sent to all registrants the afternoon of the presentation.


This is the first in a new monthly series of presentations on "Noise versus News" hosted by Brave Angels Central Texas. Because of the many holidays between this first event and the end of the year, we will resume the series in February 2026.
