Intro to Woodworking: Bandsaw Boxes with Teresa Audet

7-Hour Workshop
Date: Saturday, November 8, 2025
Time: 10am-5pm
Description: In this workshop students will learn how to create organic shaped boxes using only the bandsaw and hand tools. Students will learn how to safely use the bandsaw to create unique boxes, and will learn about creating texture and patterns with gouges, layered milk paint, and oil/wax finishes.
Tuition: $105 + $25 materials fee
Materials: All materials will be provided.
Location: Contemporary Craft Timmons Studios (5688 Butler St., Pittsburgh, PA 15201)
Cancellations and Refunds: Workshop cancellations are decided three business days before the start date. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded by check, to your credit card, or Contemporary Craft account for future workshops.
Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given without three-business days notice. Processing of refunds takes approximately three weeks.

About the Artist
Teresa Audet is an artist and educator based in Pittsburgh, PA. Audet combines woodworking, basketry, papermaking in her studio and social practice. Her work focuses on play, resilience, and the transformative power of craft.
