Intro to Wheel throwing
Overview
This class is perfect for beginner to intermediate wheel throwing students. Whether you've taken a pottery class before or this is your first time using the wheel, you will be able to develop your ceramic skills to create beautiful functional pieces. We will cover foundational topics including centering, handle making, throwing functional forms (cups, bowls, plates, etc.), trimming, and surface decorations. Come and learn the joys of making art you can use!
Class will run Tuesday nights March 10th - April 14th 6pm - 9pm

Please note that this workshop takes place in the Utility Works basement, which is only accessible via stairs. The class requires participants to be able to sit and/or stand for at least three hours and use their hands for two hours. You must be able to lift 25lbs. There are two gender-neutral bathrooms available for students, including one that is ADA accessible. If you have specific accessibility needs or questions, please contact us in advance so we can discuss potential accommodations.
