In this 2-hour class, you’ll learn the basics of centering clay, pulling walls, and shaping a simple vessel. Our instructor will guide you step by step, making it easy and enjoyable—even if it’s your very first time.

After your piece is fired, you’ll have the option to:
- Come back to paint it in a follow-up session, or
- Turn it into a candle in our candle-pouring add-on workshop.Both are offered at a special discounted rate for workshop participants.
The Aftermath:
After your class, we will be processing your works in our studio. First, the piece must be allowed to get ‘bone dry’, then it will be fired to bisque ware. Then one of our studio techs will glaze your work for you based on the color you’ve chosen, and then it will be put back on the shelves to await the next glaze firing. Please allow two to four weeks lead times. Disclaimer: Mercado Art Studio can store your works for up to two weeks after your first notification, and our staff will send you up to two courtesy reminder texts, but after two weeks, all unclaimed works will be donated.
