Total beginners welcome! And if you’re not a beginner but want to review the basics, you’re welcome too! Everyone’s welcome!

We will discuss the art of simplicity and how less can sometimes communicate more in watercolor. We’ll try basic watercolor techniques including wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry, and practice how to hold and control the brush for different strokes. We will paint simple shapes using everything we’ve learned, to gain a deeper understanding of watercolor, and then put everything we’ve learned together for your final piece.

In this class, you will

  • learn about the fundamentals of watercolor,
  • practice techniques including wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry painting,
  • play with a broad range of colors!, and
  • learn and paint in an intimate class environment with one-on-one support as needed.

One spot is for one person. No kids (high schoolers welcome). We can make changes to your reservation up to one week in advance. If you're more than 15 minutes late, you may not be able to join.
