About this event

Arts • Painting

In this four-week course, Wednesdays, February 4, 11, 18, & 25, 6-8 pm, you will build your watercolor basics and shape a painting practice for yourself. Pursue your own themes and subjects under the guidance of a watercolor teacher. You will learn about composition, value and color theory and how to apply these skills to your own paintings. Class is open to beginners who want to build foundational skills, or who have taken either of Factory 3's other watercolor classes and would like a refresher.

About the instructor: Audrey Parker is an art teacher who loves to teach paper craft and painting. Her artistic practice revolves around creating realistic paper flowers, as well as watercolor paintings with elements of paper sculpture, focusing primarily on nature and our connection to it. She graduated from MECA in 2021 with a Masters in Art Education, and in 2019 with a B.F.A. in Painting and a minor in Art History. Growing up in rural Maine, Audrey has a deep connection to the natural landscape around us.
